Good and clean hotel, with very good mattresses
Easy direct mail booking. Nice and clean room with super good mattresses. Dog was also allowed to take, for an extra charge. Reception friendly, location quiet and walking distance to the old town. For dog owners it has 2 minutes from the hotel a small dog meadow with Robidog.

Large not very cozy hotel
We were with the family in Tauberbischofsheim and lived in the bishop.
The hotel looks appealing from the outside and also has plenty of parking.
Inside it's rather cool and impersonal.
The rooms are very small for the price with very small bathroom and narrow shower.
The water that is in the room costs 3.50 € for 0.5 l. What belongs to the welcome culture in other 4 star hotels is offered here as a minibar.
Breakfast is rather moderate for this type of hotel, however, the staff is very attentive and friendly.

Nice hotel, but be careful in winter and if you have walking difficulties
My (simple) room was clean, quiet and hotel-like.
The food was sometimes very average. But that could have been due to the special arrangement for our choir workshop. Dinner for 70 people can hardly be of high quality.
Despite registration and agreement, the small team (lack of staff - understandable) was completely overwhelmed by the number of guests. Breakfast was total chaos. And the explanation that we all showed up AT THE SAME TIME is not true.
For example, I waited 30 minutes to even get a cup of coffee because the dishes could not be refilled even after I asked.
The service at dinner was also overwhelmed.
All of this from the perspective of a "tour group".
But the following applies in general:
The hotel is a beautiful building, but it also has high ceilings and is not well insulated. We were all freezing because the heating (especially in the halls) was inadequate.
The heating in the rooms, on the other hand, worked well.
When booking, make sure you don't sleep in a room near the stairwell. The hallway is separated by a glass door, but you are still woken up when you walk through it.
Note for severely disabled people: The hotel only has a small elevator. The main entrance can only be reached via MANY stairs. The only alternative - if you arrive by car - is to park in the parking lot and then take the elevator. And the same goes back if you want to go on excursions.

Highly recommended
We felt very comfortable in this hotel. It is very easy to get to from the motorway and has plenty of parking spaces. The furnishings are clean, tasteful and well-kept, the service friendly and quick. The breakfast is excellent. The attached Italian restaurant is also excellent and has a committed and friendly team. Added to this is the historic charm of the former school. What more could you want? We would love to come back!

Overnight stay in Tauberbischofsheim
The hotel is quite new and was a former girls' boarding school. The rooms are large, bright and pleasantly furnished - no carpet (great!). The bathroom has a large shower (not at ground level and there is no handrail in the shower).
There are no motion detectors. In the long, dark corridors of the former boarding school, light switches have to be operated.
There is a lockable storage area for bicycles, where batteries can also be charged.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
On our cycling trip we stayed in several 3-star hotels, all of which provided free mineral water in a glass bottle in the room. The Bischhof is a 4-star hotel and offered water and soft drinks in a small plastic bottle for €3.50 each.....
The breakfast is good.
