Amazing location, fast to get to the beach and restaurants.
Kind people who work there! Extraordinary from the young guy with earrings, can't remember his name but he was very kind!
Comfy bed and tv with loads of Channels. Only neg thing is the black out curtains doesnt really darken the room.
Clean and tidy room, decent size on the mini fridge (which actually gets really cold)

Great rooms
Hotel very clean and rooms very spacious.
Staff very hard working and professional .
Outside area where the hotel is situated was not nice at all, very ugly area and didn’t feel safe to walk through there in the dark.
Good varied and very nutritious .
All guests seem to be if scandanavian people so only one couple were English.
Nobody smiled much or engaged in conversation.
Somehow lacking a holiday vibe throughout.
Gym looked quite decent, pool was very small and garden could have done with some plants to make it look nice .
I’ve had better customer service.
Staff very hard working and professional .

Spent a week at Sobrado Hotel. The good points: The staff are reasonably friendly and accommodating. The hotel is 5-7 minutes walk to Santa Maria, with bars, restaurants and several golden miles of beautiful beaches.
Our room was superb, clean and spacious.
Breakfast was good at the hotel with a good selection of cooked items, cold hams and salamis, fresh fruits, yoghurt and pastries.
The poor points that hotel needs to improve:
I had health and safety concerns with all the gym equipments which need replacement. We couldn't use the gym facilities.
There was no spa services available, so went to another establishment.
The hotel location, while entirely safe and accessible to beach and social life in Santa Maria, was on the edge of a desolate area. Sal is incredibly dry and desert-like, similar to Morocco or elsewhere in North Africa.

Great. Great.
This is a nice hotel with nice rooms including air conditioning. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is great. The staff is very friendly and they offer excellent service. The receptionist Margareth is a hit. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be back!

BAD EXPERIENCE
Bad experience: we arrive on New Year's Eve and discover that the room had not been prepared. He starts a film of phone calls to their other hotel but in vain and without dwelling we set up approximately the room and we finally manage to enter around 3 after ruining the New Year's Eve celebrations. The manager mortified about what happened assures us that we will be refunded the night. Problems can happen is understandable and the important thing is management: they gave me the word that we would be reimbursed and that’s okay.
Instead for 2 days the manager denied it and then there was a rebound of staff who with the strangest excuses told me that the manager could not be present. Moral of the story I managed to talk to her by phone and the manager herself went back on the word of the refund saying that what she could do was buy a lunch .. when by the way we had just booked a tour for the day, so useless. Ultimately I strongly advise against the hotel because in my case they were dishonest and above all liars, which particularly bothered me.
Moving on to describe the hotel and trying to be impartial is a fairly new hotel but already with obvious problems such as the boiler whistling, annoying at night and the location outside the center in an area not pleasant especially when you return in the evening.
I have travelled to more than 80 countries around the world and so I know that unexpected things can happen and it is important that they are managed. Being a liar and making fun of denying yourself for 2 days I find it unbearable. Any reply to this review that I can no longer reply to will not be reliable, this is the pure truth. I highly recommend the structure
